About Regnan

Our services

Engagement and Advocacy

Regnan’s engagement service is the result of more than 10 years’ experience in seeking improved ESG performance and reporting by Australian companies. It is undertaken on behalf of institutional investors with a long-term interest in the companies in which they invest. It is run as a collaboration, with clients participating in the development and implementation of the program.

Our confidential and constructive discussions with companies are based on our assessment of the ESG risks each faces in its operations, and an analysis of each company’s response to those risks (based on disclosures).

More information.

When ESG performance would be aided by changes to market-wide norms or regulation we also participate in the public debate to ensure practices are adequately informed by the views and needs of diversified institutional investors.

In 2011/12, Regnan met with 67 companies on 229 different issues across the environmental, social and corporate governance stectrum. An extract of our 2011/12 annual engagement report is available here.

Research

Regnan’s team of ESG specialists undertakes original research into the issues relevant to companies listed in the Australian market – and based on public information – we assess the adequacy of corporate controls in relation to the ESG risks and opportunities our analysts identify.

Although our research comprises insights based solely on public information, our approach has been refined over a decade during which have discussed these issues with company boards and management on a daily basis.

We pride ourselves on what our specialist insights have to offer the mainstream investor.
