Chief Executive Officer

Prior to joining Regnan in 2017, Pauline was the CEO of the Association of Superannuation Funds of Australia (ASFA) and has over 25 years’ experience in the financial services industry.
Previously, Pauline has consulted to the financial services industry and was on a number of boards. Pauline was also a senior executive with the Australian Securities and Investments Commission (ASIC) for seven years and in that role, managed the implementation of the Managed Investment Act and the Financial Services Reform Act. She has also been a corporate counsel, head of compliance, and strategic risk consultant, as well as a trustee director.
Pauline is also the chair of CIMA Society of Australia (formerly IMCA Australia) and is a director of Mercer Superannuation Trust, Decimal Software Ltd, and the Banking and Finance Oath (BFO) group.
SUSHEELA PERES DA COSTA
HEAD OF ADVISORY
BA, MA (Comm Mgmt), CIMA
Susheela has more than 11 years’ domestic and international experience advising institutional investors on responsible investment.
She was instrumental in the development of Regnan’s research, stewardship and advisory programs, and has led or overseen much of this work in her role as Head of Advisory. Most recently, this included an 18-month project in Switzerland to design and initiate a sustainable investment strategy for one of the world’s largest global full service financial institutions.
Susheela serves as deputy chair of Responsible Investment Association Australasia (RIAA) and as a member of Impact Investing Australia’s cross-sector working group to develop a market for social impact investing.
She holds a Bachelor of Arts (Hons) from the University of Sydney, a Master’s Degree in Communication Management and is a licenced Certified Investment Management Analyst professional. Susheela previously held corporate affairs roles in funds management.
Head of Research

Doug has worked with Regnan (and its predecessor) since 2002 and has been in the ESG sector for nearly two decades. He has developed deep experience applying ESG for research and engagement applications. He has pioneered methodology development in the Australian market to meet the evolving needs of institutional investor clients with a specific focus on mainstream uses, especially risk and financial materiality-based approaches. Over 18 years he has built Australia’s most experienced and respected ESG analyst team, now considered a global leader. Doug has lectured on corporate sustainability in the Monash MBA program, and prior to that, led the environmental management services group at Coopers & Lybrand where he advised corporations on sustainability strategy.
Doug commenced his career as a mechanical engineer, later undertaking a Master of Environmental Science.
Head of Client Services
BComm, MEnvSc, PhD
Chris has been working with Regnan or its predecessor since 2002 and, since 1998, has worked extensively on the development of ESG/responsible investment research to meet the evolving needs of retail and institutional investor clients.
He currently leads Regnan’s client service function, maintaining and overseeing existing and prospective client relations. He also coordinates Regnan’s research program, and regularly engages with ASX200 companies as part of the Regnan engagement service.
Chris has experience in investment markets, and financial management and audit processes across a variety of industries, from a career that spans professional services, investment banking and academia. Chris holds a Bachelor of Commerce, a Master’s in Environmental Science, and a PhD focused on the intersection of business and the environment. He has published a number of peer reviewed papers.
Head of Policy

Alison leads Regnan's advocacy program across environmental, social and corporate governance priorities and is central to the delivery of Regnan’s engagement program. She provides oversight to Regnan's research and engagement activities in corporate governance. She has worked across all aspects of Regnan’s activities in her more than 11 years with the team (commenced 2006).
A Chartered Accountant, Alison also holds a BA (Jurisprudence) and a Master of Environment. Her experience spans professional services (EY), regulation and research.
Alison has deep understanding about the intersect between business, sustainability, and investment, as well as expertise in energy markets, climate change, corporate governance, responsible investment and stewardship.
Engagement Program Manager
Alison joined Regnan in 2016 with responsibility for managing the engagement program, as well as supporting research and advocacy activities. She has worked in sustainability for over a decade and was formerly the Head of Sustainability at Westpac where she oversaw the development of ESG frameworks and policy. She has been a director of the UN Global Compact’s Australian Network and a member of the AA1000 technical standards committee. Alison has also held roles in corporate strategy in the financial sector and undertaken a number of sustainability consulting projects with leading UK organisations.
Alison holds a Bachelor of Commerce, majoring in Human Resource Management and Marketing, from the University of New South Wales and a Master of Organisational Communication from Charles Sturt University.
SENIOR ESG Analyst

Oshadee commenced at Regnan as an ESG analyst in 2015. He is responsible for stock level assessment and engagement, as well as research into ESG themes and issues. Prior to joining Regnan, Osh was Assistant Vice President at PolitEcon Research where he conducted research into ESG integration with a focus on sustainable investing. He has also interned at the UNEP Finance Initiative, providing support for sustainable supply chain and climate change adaptation projects.
Osh holds a Master of Arts in Environmental Management and Sustainability and a Postgraduate Diploma in International Development and Environmental Analysis, both from Monash University. He has also studied at Coventry University (UK), obtaining a Master of Science in Finance and a Bachelor of Engineering (Civil).
Hilary, an economist and CFA Level 1 candidate, joined the Regnan team in early 2018 as an ESG Analyst. She is responsible for stock level assessment and engagement, as well as research into ESG themes and issues. Prior to joining Regnan, she was at the Behavioural Research and Policy Unit within the Australian Securities and Investments Commission (ASIC). In that role she was responsible for supporting the unit’s behavioural and macroeconomic research insights and analysis, stakeholder management and submissions to government.
Hilary graduated from the University of Sydney with a Bachelor of Economics in 2014.
Abby joined Regnan in 2018 as an ESG Analyst, with responsibilities for stock level assessment and engagement, as well as research into ESG themes and issues. She has recently completed a master’s degree focused on sustainable development, human rights and development economics, in addition to environmental policy.
Abby holds a Bachelor of Arts (Hons) in International Relations from the University of St Andrews, Scotland, and a Master’s in Development Studies from the University of Melbourne.
Maddy joined Regnan in 2015 with the responsibility of managing communications that form part of our engagement and advocacy programs and associated publications. In her previous role, Maddy coordinated communications for a not for profit organisation that supported disadvantaged youth.
Maddy graduated in 2010 from the University of Sydney with a Bachelor of Arts, majoring in History and Government and International Relations.

Tania commenced at Regnan in 2017 with the responsibilities of managing finance and operations.
